Voodoo sign former LSU Tiger Skylar Green

Monday, May 30, 2011 - 10:50pm

The New Orleans VooDoo signed wide receiver Skyler Green and offensive lineman Rico Ochoa, announced the front office on Monday afternoon.

Green joins the VooDoo after three stops in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals. The local product will enter his first year of arena football action.

A three-time All-American, Green still holds the record for most punt return touchdowns in a career with four, and stands second in LSU history with 1,064 punt return yards. In 2005, Green was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year to round out his collegiate career.

Ochoa is a seasoned arena football veteran having played for many teams on the af2 and AFL level with his most recent action coming this season with the Kansas City Command. Ochoa also played last season with the Dallas Vigilantes.

With the additions, wide receiver Chris Wilson and offensive lineman Daverin Geralds were placed on reassignment.
