Whitney Houston's hitting the big screen
HOLLYWOOD HOOKUP (FOX44) – Troubled singer Whitney Houston is reportedly set to make a movie comeback after a 15-year hiatus. The Hollywood Reporter says she's in talks to play the mom in a remake of the Supremes-inspired tale "Sparkle." Playing the lead role is "American Idol" winner Jordan Sparks. Houston checked into rehab this past May for drug and alcohol treatment.
– Tyler Perry raked in 130-million dollars last year and that makes him the highest paid man in entertainment, according to Forbes' Magazine. The director-actor-producer is best known for his cross-dressing role as the gun toting granny Madea. Others in the top ten: Steven Spielberg, Simon Cowell, Elton John, Howard Stern and Tiger Woods.
– We're just a week and a day away from the American debut of “The X Factor.” Nicole Scheringzer, a former Pussycat Doll, is a judge. In London she raved about what's to come and even had great things to say about Mr. Simon Cowell. “Absolutely. He's my mate. He's awesome. He's inspiring and I adore him.” "The X Factor" debut is so big-- it had to be split into two parts. Catch Simon, Nicole and the rest of the gang next Wednesday and Thursday night at 8 p.m.
