No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. The Dixie Landin’ Rock Hero contest is open to all legal U.S. residents 16 years and older. Employees of Blue Bayou/Dixie Landin’, Fox Broadcasting Company, News Corporation, Fox Network, Fox Interactive Media, Imagine Television, SBC, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees or families of each, WGMB FOX44, KADN FOX15, WBRL CW21, and Communication Corporation of America, White Knight Broadcasting, and other subsidiaries and their immediate families (spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and/or persons residing with such parties) may not participate and are not eligible to win.
How to win:
You may register for the contest in person at the Baton Rouge location of Play N Trade, located at 4410 Highland Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70808; or you may choose to register as a “walk-up” at Dixie Landin’ within 15 minutes prior to each event.

The first Dixie Landin’ Rock Hero competition is each Friday at 7pm at Dixie Landin’ on Highland Road in Baton Rouge, LA. The Dixie Landin’ Rock Hero FINALS competition is at 7pm on Friday, August 1, 2008 at Dixie Landin’.
A maximum of up to 24 registrants will be chosen each week to compete in the Friday night event at Dixie Landin’.
A maximum of 20 registrants will be chosen from the registrations submitted at the Baton Rouge Play N Trade location. Those individuals who are chosen will be notified in advance of the event. Notified contestants must be present 15 minutes prior to the start of the event, otherwise risk losing their reserved spot for that week.
A minimum of 4 “walk-up” contestants will also be picked to compete each Friday night on a RANDOM basis. Registrations for “Walk-up” contestants begin 15 minutes prior to the start of the event each Friday night.
Contestants will compete for the best score while playing randomly chosen songs (from a "BLIND LIST" of songs classified as “EXPERT LEVEL”) from the Guitar HeroTM game. Up to two (2) contestants will be playing per song.
The contestant with the Highest Overall Score each week will automatically move on to compete in the FINALS on Friday, August 1st, at Dixie Landin’.
The Dixie Landin’ Rock Hero FINALS competition is Friday, August 1, 2008 at Dixie Landin’. The competition begins at 7PM. Each weekly winner/top scorer may not compete in another weekly contest EXCEPT for the Finale on August 1st, 2008. In the Finale, Contestants will compete for the best score while playing randomly chosen songs (from a "BLIND LIST" of songs classified as “EXPERT LEVEL”) from the Guitar HeroTM game.
Contestants must also have a valid picture ID with Social Security Number or a valid SSN card in order to participate in the contest. All contestants must also complete a standard media waiver which allows FOX44, FOX15 and CW21 to use photos and/or videos of the contestants for broadcast or internet purposes. These rules may be changed at the discretion of FOX 44.
Contest Prizes:
All pre-registered contestants will receive FREE Admission* to Dixie Landin’ (6pm until close) on the night of the event in which they participate. The weekly winner will receive a $100 Gift Certificate to a participating Play N Trade. All qualifiers will also receive an extra $15 credit when they trade-in 3 Games (Xbox or PS3).
The Grand Prize winner will be determined on Friday, August 1, 2008, after the Final round of competition is completed. The Grand Prize winner will receive X BOX 360 game system and a Guitar Hero Aerosmith game.
*Does not apply to “walk-up” contestants. .
Prize Redemption/Claim/Releases:
Winners must present their valid picture ID at registration in order to redeem their prizes. Weekly winners must also sign a form of verification. By signing agreement form, the winner agrees that FOX44/KADN15/CW21 has the right to publicize his/her name, likeness, and voice to promote the contest. By accepting the prize, all winners agree to release Blue Bayou/Dixie Landin’, Fox Broadcasting Company, News Corporation, Fox Network, Fox Interactive Media, Imagine Television, SBC, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees or families of each, WGMB FOX44, KADN FOX15, WBRL CW21 and Communication Corporation of America, White Knight Broadcasting, its licensees, franchisees, employees, advertising, promotional, parent companies or judging agencies from any and all liability claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses of any kind to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize, or while traveling to, preparing for and/or participating in any prize-related activity.
Winners are also responsible for paying any and all taxes associated with prizes over $600 in value. Winner must consent to the use of his/her name, voice, picture or their likeness without compensation for promotional purposes as determined by WGMB/KADN/WBRL except where prohibited by law. Wives, husbands, children, relatives, friends, etc. will not be allowed to show verification for the winner unless there are special circumstances. The management of FOX44/KADN15/CW21 will determine special circumstances. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted.
The prizes and grand prize cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prizes.
Liability:
Blue Bayou/Dixie Landin’, Fox Broadcasting Company, News Corporation, Fox Network, Fox Interactive Media, Imagine Television, SBC, their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, and the officers, directors, employees, licensees and assignees or families of each, WGMB FOX44, KADN FOX15, CW21 and Communication Corporation of America, White Knight Broadcasting are not responsible for problems associated with television transmission, cable transmission and phone lines, and internet connection for the contest that are beyond the control of WGMB FOX44, KADN FOX15, CW21. This includes, but is not limited to a busy signal on the contest phone line, the operator interference, cellular interference, technical or atmospheric conditions that disrupt the completion of the phone call, or for any internet-related technical difficulties which may prohibit the execution of the contest. FOX44/KADN15/CW21 reserves the right to disqualify any person who does not comply with any of the official rules stated herein. FOX44/KADN15/CW21 management and the laws of the state of Louisiana shall determine any and all rule disputes.
