East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Deputies are investigating an accidental shooting of a 8-year- old in near Baker.
They say it happened around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon in the 400 block of Old Rafe Mayer Road.
On May 14, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division began an investigation into illegal drug activity on Sammy St. in Gonzales, according to Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Kevin Hanna.
A runaway juvenile from Minnesota was located in Lafayette at the home of a 52-year-old man. Investigators also discovered that the man was in possession of a massive amount of child pornography images.
Timothy R. Schlatre, 35, of Denham Springs has been sentenced for his creation and execution of a scheme to defraud life insurance companies, including New York Life and Lincoln Financial.
