BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- Lady luck appears to be on the side of one Southern California city, and Baton Rouge is clicking not too far behind.
Men's Health Magazine has ranked San Diego number one in their list of America's 100 luckiest towns. It’s based on data such as most lottery winners, the fewest lightning strikes and the least deaths from falling objects.
Cracking the top twenty on the luckiest city list is Baton Rouge. The Red Stick number 14 on that list.
"I feel lucky,” Darell Moncriffe, offshore worker, said when asked how he feels about the ranking. “I got up this morning, something somebody else didn't do, and I thank God that I've changed my life and I'm doing pretty good."
But not everyone agrees with the ranking.
"I think ever since Katrina and Gustav, a lot of shady stuff happens here,” Kaeleb Smith, mechanic, said. “I don't really like the way people drive here, I'm not a Powerball person, so I'm never lucky with that."
New Orleans comes in as number 60 on the luckiest towns list.
