BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- Downtown Baton Rouge has returned as a true hotspot for the community. But unlike the landscape of years past, the new hub for entertainment has taken on a much more inclusive set of events.

Take for example the latest program sponsored by Hotel Indigo. Beginning Saturday, Sept. 17, the newly renovated hotel will feature a public ride gearing to peak the interest of cyclists. To make sure an include riders of all experience levels, they will feature three different routes.

Families can take advantage of the shorter, 5-mile route, whereas the hard-core enthusiasts will be offered 25-miles of riding pleasure.

All routes will begin at Hotel Indigo (200 Convention Street, at the corner of Convention and Lafayette Street) and move towards the levee. One will diverge toward LSU, while the longest route will go all the way down River Road.

All you need to participate in this event is your own bike and helmet (which is required for all riders). When it’s all over, Hotel Indigo invites all riders to top off the day with food, drinks, and even a little face painting.
