NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX8) -- A massive music schedule has been unveiled for Jazz Fest 2012, with American rock classics The Eagles and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers among the headliners.

Also on tap for the springtime festival are Trombone Shorty, the Neville Brothers, Jill Scott, the Levon Helm Band with special guest Mavis Staples, Bobby Rush, Big Freedia and a host of other musicians.

Jazz Fest 2012 takes place April 27-29 and May 3-6. A formal announcement of the music schedule is set for Wednesday afternoon.
