Lady Gaga takes in local flavor at downtown hot spot
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- She’s 25-years old and now has more followers on Twitter than the President. Now, New York-native Lady Gaga takes in the local flavor while making a stop in the Capitol City.
Sources tell FOX44 News that Lady Gaga, aka Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is here to visit one of the actors on the set of the “Breakout Kings.” The pop princess is dating Taylor Kinney, a reoccurring cast member on the CW hit show, “The Vampire Diaries.” Kinney had a short stay in Baton Rouge to film for an upcoming appearance on the hit TV show.
On Wednesday, Jan. 18, Lady Gaga, Kinney, and two other unnamed guests dined at The Little Village Restaurant, located downtown on Third Street.
“A gentleman came in and said he needed a table for three and a table for four,” Olin Vaught, Manager of The Little Village, recalled. “The table for three was for some body guards…they wanted to know where the exits and the bathrooms were and we thought, well, that’s kind of odd.
“I went back into the office to do some paper work, and then the hostess buzzes me and says ‘Oh my God, Lady Gaga is here.”
Although we may never know why the celebrity couple selected The Little Village that night, one can assume that it may have come as a suggestion from cast and crew members on the set of “Breakout Kings.” We’re told they all make regular stops at the local establishment.
The intimate restaurant only seats around a hundred, but a large part of the reason it attracts celebrities is due to low-key attitude.
“I actually had a table sitting two tables from her for an hour before they even knew she was sitting there,” Ryan Bergeron, Head Server at The Little Village, added.
It wasn’t until Lady Gaga, who was wearing six-inch stiletto heals, got up from the table that any customer noticed her. That’s when she stopped and posed for a picture with Little Village server, Bonnie McCullough. Then, she signed a Little Village menu before leaving. It will hang alongside other celebrity signatures from those who have dined there in the past, such as Liv Tyler, and local celebrity, Edwin Edwards, who is said to be a frequent regular of the establishment.
Now that Lady Gaga has left town, she has many asking who will be the next A-list celebrity to walk the streets of downtown Baton Rouge?
