Tuesday, November 13, 2012 - 3:00pm

Whether it involves space aliens, graphic art or superheroes, this 2012 New Orleans Comic Con is sure to bring out the inner-geek in everyone. Occurring November 30 through December 2 at the city’s convention center, there’s plenty to see.

Here are some highlights you definitely don’t want to miss:

Stan Lee

Stan Lee is surely a highlight for any event he attends. Credited with co-creating classic superhero characters such as Iron Man, the Hulk, Spiderman, X-Men and Thor, the Marvel legend will again appear at this year’s convention on both Saturday and Sunday.

“Star Trek: The Next Generation” Cast

Hop aboard the Starship Enterprise with the crew of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (1987-1994) as cast members including Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge), Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher), Brent Spiner (Data) and Michael Dorn (Worf) appear during this year’s convention. Most Enterprise crewmembers will be present during all three days. The event marks a 25-year reunion for the cast, and for the biggest trekkie, this event could truly prove to be the last frontier.

Cast of The Walking Dead

AMC’s original series The Walking Dead continues this fall with its third season. Once again, zombies (…or walkers) are all the rage. Cast members including Norman Reedus (Daryl), Jon Bernthal (Shane, RIP) and Michael Rooker (Merle) will appear on Saturday and Sunday.

Neal Adams

“He revived Batman, saved the X-Men, challenged the system and changed comics forever,” reads a quote from Wizard Magazine appearing on the convention’s website. Adams’s role in evolving comics into what they are today can’t be understated. During his expansive career, the artist has covered other superhero characters including the Avengers, Captain Marvel, Superman and the Justice League. He’ll be present all days.

Eliza Dushku

Dushku’s work is vast, ranging from acting roles in Jay and Silent Bob to appearances in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In recent years, the actress has added comic-related work to her impressive resume while lending her voice as Catwoman in 2011’s Batman: Year One. Other credits include acting in films such as Bring It On and Wrong Turn. Her work in TV, meanwhile, has seen her star in Tru Calling and Dollhouse. Dushku will be appearing Saturday only.
