PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (FOX44) - This morning Prairieville Primary hosted its annual “American Girl” party. It’s an event that rewards students who ready books throughout the school year. To be invited to the tea party, students had to read at least 15 books!

FOX44’s Emily Turner was at the special event.

“Most of the girls read way over the minimum,” Emily said with a smile when explaining the event. “One girl, Kelsey, read 53 books! For that, she got her very own American Girl doll to take home!”

Congratulations to all the young readers and their accomplishment! FOX44 was happy to share your big day!
