NEW YORK, NY (FOX44) – Are the "Men in Black" any match for the "The Avengers"? Looks like we're about to find out!
Here come the "Men in Black" with a souped up 3D, part 3, full of time travel, alien encounters, and Josh Brolin doing a spot on Tommy Lee Jones. Brolin plays a young agent "K" that agent "J" has to go back and save. Of course, that's in addition to saving the universe.
There's a scary movie entry courtesy of the creator of paranormal activity "Chernobyl Diaries", a gritty documentary-like thriller following a group of extreme tourists who visit an abandoned city next to the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. But when their van breaks down, they quickly learn the city may not be completely abandoned.
After banking $80-million worldwide, the doors of "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" are opening for a nationwide release on over 1,100-screens. The film is about a group of British retirees who travel to India, co-stars Dev Patel as hotel manager. He credits the success of the film to the wonderful cast.
Patel says: "Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, and Penelope Wilson from “Downton Abbey”. It's a really fresh take, it's hopeful and it's poignant and incredibly stupidly funny."
So maybe this will be the week the competition can break through the super powered winning streak of "The Avengers" which has already topped the box office 3 times. And those snazzy dressed galaxy defenders are hoping 3 is their lucky number. Guess we'll just have to find a pair of 3D ray-bans and wait to see who wins this round.
