NASHVILLE, TN (FOX44) – Another successful year for the CMA Music Festival, as country music's finest say "thank you" to their fans.
Country music fans descended on Nashville in record numbers for the 2012 CMA Music Festival. Several superstars called it a reunion with their most loyal supporters.
Jackson says: "I see people from time to time that I’ve seen a lot over the years that have been with me all these years. It's amazing."
Mcbride says: "I just saw a couple people in my line on Thursday when I was doing autographs, which have been fans since 1992."
While newbies like The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery got to hold their first fan club parties.
McCreery says: "The fans have been absolutely incredible to me this last year. It's a good way for me to give back to them and say thank you."
A long list of artists signed countless autographs and listened to fans' personal stories.
Eli says: "Some of the coolest stories we've heard lately are with "Crazy Girl" and people using them in their weddings."
Nightly concerts at IP Field were sold out for the third consecutive year and featured 38-acts overall including Little Big Town who let FOX into their rehearsal.
Fairchild says: "When you get out here your energy with 70,000-people is so crazy, your adrenaline, that you're like, you have to have it all perfect."
Plus Kenny Rogers told us how he planned a very collaborative set list.
Rogers says: "I love sing alongs, cause I think it really gives you a chance to connect with the audience so I’ve got “Lucille” which has a sing along in it, I’ve got “Gambler” which has a sing along in it."
Overall these world travelers continue to make time in their busy schedules for this very special homecoming.
Bentley says: "I always think of the CMA Music Fest as a thanksgiving to your fans, just to say thanks for all the support they give you and just take a moment to kind of be reminded about how lucky you are to have this life."
