Restaurant Week to provide discount to diners, donations to Foodbank

Over 40 restaurants will participate in the second Restaurant Week Baton Rouge, which is set to begin next week, and organizers encourage people to book reservations today.

Diners can enjoy 3-course meals at fixed prices from $15-$35 per person from the some of the city’s best restaurants. The event is sponsored by DIG Magazine and will run from July 15-20.

The bi-annual event offers more than delicious food and prices. In 2013, $10,000 will have been donated to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank on behalf of the diners, sponsors and participating restaurants. The donations will equal to 35,000 meals for those in need by year's end.
