"Jumpin' On The Bayou" Jump Rope Workshop

On February 11, 2012, the Parkview Baptist School Heart 'n Soul Jump Rope Team will host the “Jumpin’ on the Bayou” jump rope workshop at ExerFit Family Fitness, 7222 Bluebonnet Blvd., Baton Rouge, La., to teach jump rope skills to children kindergarten and older of all abilities. Adults are also invited to participate. In addition to some of the team’s older jumpers, there will be guest instructors from Washington, Idaho, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina and Texas.

Members of Parkview Baptist School’s Heart ‘n Soul Jump Rope Team regularly perform and teach all around the States and in many other countries around the world. In addition to performing and teaching, Heart ‘n Soul has enjoyed great success in regional, national, and international competitions.

Registration for the event will begin at 8 a.m. and will continue until the workshop begins at 8:45 a.m. At 3:15 p.m., participants will present a staff parade and free community show. The fee to participate is $35. Beginner jump ropes will be available for $5 and workshop t-shirts for $12. Lunch will be available for $6.
