BRAC officials react to Brookings Study
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - On the national level, the Brookings Institute has rated Baton Rouge in the 20 second weakest Metropolitan cities in the U.S.
Baton Rouge places low on the list because our job growth and economic output is still growing, but not as fast as last year.
But Baton Rouge Area Chamber Vice President Giles Whiting says he expects great growth for 2012.
"The bottom line for Baton Rouge and our community is that 2012 is looking like an optimistic year, everything we've seen from the businesses, all the economic forecasts are positive," said Whiting.
