Carlotta Street Apartment Fire

BATON ROUGE, LA (WGMB) While the block party on Carlotta Street was going, someone set an apartment on fire.

Around 1:00 this morning, fire fighters arrived at an apartment complex to find smoke pouring out of one of the top apartments.

When they got in the apartment, they found a mattress on fire, and they suspect arson was the case.

BRFD quickly extinguished the blaze, and kept the damage to a minimum.

No one was living in the apartment when the fire was started. The firemen acted so quickly that they were able to save the other three apartments.
