Central community rallies for injured teens
Jambalaya fundraiser planned to help pay medical bills
Two separate car accidents injured three Central teenagers in December.
Now—the entire community is getting together to show their support.
18-year-old Kelsey Lieux was in a car wreck 3 weeks ago.
She's been in a medically induced coma ever since.
So—friends of Kelsey are selling t-shirts and bracelets to raise money for her medical bills.
And as her story spreads—so does the help.
"It's a wonderful thing, people that you don't even know that are jumping and taking this on," says Charles Lieux.
Community members are organizing a jambalaya dinner on January 16th to raise money.
The fundraiser is also helping out 2 other crash victims who had their accident just 2 days before Kelsey's.
Tickets are $6 a piece.
