DPW says to watch out for possible flooding
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - With heavy rain expected in the Captiol city Tuesday and Wednesday, DPW Assistant Director David Guillory says there are certain spots that could be underwater.
Assitant Director Guillory says the areas that usually flood are areas north of the LSU campus.
He says streets like Wyoming, Kansas, and West McKinley just off Highland flood frequently.
Guillory also says in these spring months, yard debris like grass and leaves can build up in drains and cause more flooding.
He says the best way to keep the water down is to make sure your neighborhood drains are clear.
"We see lots of leaves and things with people cutting their grass, drains plugged up with leaves and things, if home owners could keep those clear, it gets the water out a lot quicker," said DPW Assistant Director, David Guillory.
