Grocery shoppers have a new reason to be excited. Foods that jumped up in price last year are finally working their way back down.

The price of meat, dairy, vegetables and fruits has fallen significantly and while the cost drops don't solve the nation's money problems, they certainly ease the burden.

Local shoppers hope lower prices mean the economy is leveling out.
