U.S. Attorney says Evelyn Holden violated probation
U.S. Marshals arrested Evelyn Holden today for violating terms of her release.
Holden was among the people involved in the Baton Rouge Court scandal.
The U.S. Attorney's Office had released her on probation while she awaited a court date.
But EBR Sheriff's Deupties arrested Holden on unrelated charges of extortion involving a man she was having an affair with.
U.S. Attorney David Dugas says that counts as a violation.
He says Holden will be in custody until a 10a.m. court hearing on Wednesday.
