Drivers refusing to take breathalzyer test could lose license for a year
Drunk drivers are now facing stiffer penalties if they refuse a breathalyzer test.
The state legislature approved the new law earlier this year.
If they say no to a breathalyzer test, a driver will lose their license for one year, that's up from the previous six month penalty.
If a motorist refuses the test more than once in a 5 year period, the license will be suspended for two years.
Opponents of the law say the penalty is too harsh, but drivers say it's a good thing.
