Working with consultants on feasibility study
Parish officials are considering the idea of building an airport in livingston.
The parish is using $50,000 from the state for a study to see if it would be possible.
The airport would be used for corporate jets and other small planes.
Currently, aircraft owners in Livingston have to travel to Gonzales, Hammond or Baton Rouge whenever they want to use their planes.
Pilots say the new airport would be more convenient.
