Caminada bridge

Caminada Pass fishing bridge burned in a weekend fire.

Firefighters said it started from a spark along the electric lines and a chemical used to preserve the wooden ties, may have fueled the blaze.

The state owned bridge was almost destroyed by Hurricane Katrina, but was rebuilt and opened up just last summer.

Authorities said no one was injured, but it could be awhile before this bridge is renovated, again.
