Queen Elizabeth II visits Ireland
Queen Elizabeth II arrived in Ireland today the first British Monarch to visit the country in more than 100 years. The Queen arrived just hours after police discovered a bomb on a bus outside Dublin. Queen Elizabeth is the first monarch to visit the Republic of Ireland since it gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1922. Her vist prompted complaints and protests from dissident groups, and police are on high alert to possible threats. Some 10,000 security personnel have been deployed to the Irish capital.
