Railroad service between Baton Rouge and New Orleans
The state is working on plans to create a passenger railroad service between Baton Rouge and New Orleans once again.
Transportation officials say they're asking for 300 million dollars from teh Federal Government to launch it.
Riders would pay ten dollars each way between both cities. Officals say that would help cover the 18 million dollars a year it would cost to run the train.
Commuters say the passenger rail would help with traffic congestion.
