BATON ROUGE, LA (WGMB) - December 7, 2010 - The man so many people became familiar with during Hurricane Katrina is speaking out about his battle since the storm.
Retired Lieutenant General Russel Honore spoke to the local "Man to Man" group about his experiences with prostate cancer.
Honore serviced as the US Army Commander of a joint task force during the aftermath of Katrina.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 6 men. And the 'man to man' support group, started by the American Cancer Society, is there to help.
Honore says that even though men get the disease, the entire family can suffer from it.
He encourages everyone to watch their diet and pay attention to what you put in your body.
