Second victim dies following mid-December wreck in Addis
ADDIS, LA (FOX44) A second victim has died following a bad wreck in Addis. Family members say 87-year-old Thelma Bizette died from injuries tonight. She was riding in the same car with her daughter, Elsie Boudreaux, when they were T-boned at the Sugar Plantation, LA-1 intersection on December 17th.
The intersection in front of the Sugarmill Plantation Subdivision is the same place where Les Miles' sister, 54-year-old Ann Hope Brown was killed in a car wreck back in April 2011.
West Baton Rouge residents have asked the state to step in to make the intersection safer. DOTD says it will install a "J-curve" sometime next year. But according to residents, that won't fix the problem. They along with local business owners are hoping the state will install a stop light instead.
