Half the herd put up for auction
The town of Parks, Louisiana has just cut 15 employees from its workforce.
These "employees" already have a new gig lined up. They are moving to a new farm.
For years, the town has used sheep to to keep the grass short in one section of town. It's an area that's hard to reach with a lawn mower and the herd has done a good job.
The sheep have multiplied over the years and there isn't enough grass for all the animals.
The town put up half for auction. A buyer bought the herd of 15 for around $300.
