Termination letter is a warning of effects of budget cuts
More than 300 LSU instructors will recieve a letter of termination on their first day of classes tomorrow.
The letter serves as a warning that the instructors could lose their jobs in the coming year if the University can't come up with another way to trim the $13 million in cuts ordered by Governor Jindal.
Those instructors are responsible for teaching a majority of the required courses for incoming freshmen and sophmores.
Instructors say right now there's no plan in place to keep those courses around if there's no one to teach them.
They're hoping governor jindal is taking that seriously.
