170 teens from nine states braved the storms in Baton Rouge Tuesday to brighten up Fairfields neighborhood. ‘World Changers’ volunteers are repairing roofs, scraping paint and fixing screens. But they say their mission here is about a lot more than curb appeal.
"Ultimately it's not about us,” says Brennan Stevens from South Carolina. “This house will fade away but the message of the gospel, the message that God loves us so much and He proclaimed that to us through His son; that changes worlds."
When the World Changers volunteers are finished, 15 homes will have been repaired. The group is being hosted by Florida Boulevard Baptist Church.
