People in Ascension Parish can breathe a sigh of relief. Authorities say the individuals responsible for a slew of break-ins are now behind bars. Authorities say they took three suspects into custody, after linking fingerprints to similar burglaries in West Baton Rouge Parish.
18-year old Mitchell Robinson and two 16-year-olds allegedly broke into several homes in the Dutchtown community, often times in broad daylight, busting through back doors and stealing computers, televisions, jewelry, and firearms.
Residents say they have feared for their safety over the past month and are thankful to law enforcement for keeping them safe. Dutchtown resident Alycia Brown says, “If they would turn the tables and realize that this was their home, their family, would they want that to happen to them? I hope they get what they deserve.”
Authorities say it’s an ongoing investigation, but these three suspects are the only people linked to the crime spree.
