EBRSO Looking for Woman Accused of Using Fake Checks

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman they say used fake checks to buy items from area Wal-Mart Stores. Detectives say the woman then returned the items for cash.

According the the EBR Sheriff's Office, the woman went into the Wal-Mart in Central and used checks with the business name "A Taste of Italy Catering." Detectives say she purchased several high dollar items, and returned them the next day for cash.

Detectives say she may be driving a silver or gray-colored car. She's described as a black female, approximately 5'6" to 5'9", 150 to 160 lbs, 30 to 40 years old and wearing a fabric headwrap covering her hair.

Detectives believe the woman may have also gone to Wal-Marts in Baker and Zachary on earlier dates.
