Four Men Arrested in Connection With Central Break Ins

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended and arrested four men Friday for breaking into at least two Central homes. Deputies apprehended the men in a wooded area in Central after an extensive search.

Deputies booked Teddy Robertson, 19, Landry Washington, 20, Michael Jackson, 17, and Andres Remo, 24, and charged them each with 2cts. Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, 2cts. Felony Theft, and 2cts. Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

On Friday September 11, deputies responded to a residential burglary on the 14000 block of Russett Avenue in Central at approximately 11:40 a.m.. According to reports, four men kicked in the door under the carport of a home and began loading items into their vehicle parked under the carport. The men fled when the homeowner arrived. The homeowner later discovered his television was missing from his residence.

EBRSO deputies patrolled the area and located the described vehicle and followed it to the wooded area behind 15000 block of Karlyn Drive. Four men were seen fleeing into the wooded area. Deputies set up a perimeter around the area and called out EBRSO K-9.

While on scene, deputies also responded to another residential burglary on the 14000 block of Hampshire Drive, in which the burglars made entrance by kicking open the carport door and stealing electronics including computers, a television, a telephone and a digital camera. The four men were located and taken into custody, and all items were recovered and returned to the owners. Other charges may be pending.
