No fire hydrants, no problem

A massive house fire early Monday morning in Zachary had the local fire department requesting backup. Firefighters say a cedar wood home on West Mount Pleasant road went up in flames around 4 A.M.
It’s believed the blaze started somewhere on the second floor but crews were able to keep it from spreading.
The home is located far from working fire hydrants but officials say as soon as the 9-1-1 call came in several other fire departments in the area brought their tanker trucks in order to keep the hoses running.
