Reaction to Jindal's Speech

Reaction to Jindal’s speech from around the country has been harsh. Our David D’Aquin is tracking that angle of the story.

Folks and media outlets across the nation are criticizing Jindal’s response to Obama’s speech saying he didn’t do a very good job. We caught up with pollster Bernie Pinsonat who says Jindal needs to focus his attention and his work here in Louisiana. He says Jindal came across as uptight and not very friendly. The main problem, according to Pinsonat, is Jindal spoke right after President Obama and just isn’t up to Obama’s level as a speaker. He also says Louisiana voters are confused. “I think it’s unsettling to the voters of Louisiana, especially when they just gave him this job and he seems to be out looking for another one.”

In addition, Pinsonat says last night’s speech was Jindal’s introduction to the American people and not a very good one. He says Jindal will become a target for criticism now that he’s jumped into the national spotlight.
