
BATON ROUGE (WGMB) - - Some East Baton Rouge voters had additional taxes to vote on. Two neighborhoods decided to pay to start up crime prevention districts.
In West Feliciana Parish, voters approved a parish-wide 1% tax.
In St. Helena Parish, voters approved three separate taxes.
Down in St. Mary Parish, voters had to decide whether or not to approve the sale of $2.6Million in bonds to pay for improvements to the water-works district. Voters said no.
Voters in Sorrento elected Marvin Martin as a new Town Council Member.
And in Tangipahoa Parish, voters in Ponchatoula voted to recall Dave Higgenbotham, who's a member of the City Council.
