The Baton Rouge man police say robbed his elderly father at gunpoint is now in custody. According to police, 51-year-old Jeffery Gierlinski pointed a shotgun at his father last June, demanding $140 and the 83-year-old’s pickup truck.
Gierlinski was on the run for seven months, until deputies in Lafourche Parish arrested him last week. His charges include armed robbery and contempt of court.
