Ascension Parish to Change Meeting Times

GONZALES – Beginning in November, all regular Parish Council meetings will convene at 6 p.m., according to Parish Council Chairman Pat Bell (District 4).

The time change will bring Parish Council meetings, which now begin at 7 p.m., in line with most parish committee meetings, which typically start at 6 p.m.

Both Parish Council meetings in October will still be held at 7 p.m.: Oct. 1 at the Ascension Parish Courthouse in Donaldsonville and Oct. 15 at the Ascension Courthouse East in Gonzales.

The time change will go into effect with the Nov. 5 Parish Council meeting in Donaldsonville.

After the time change, all Parish Council meetings will continue to be televised live on Ascension Channel 21, the governmental access cable channel.
