Couple Arrested After Toddler Ingests Cocaine

TERRYTOWN, La. (AP) - Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies say a
Terrytown couple has been booked with cruelty to a juvenile after
their 16-month-old daughter ingested cocaine and amphetamines.
Twenty-six-year-old Eric Daous and 20-year-old Desiree Warren
were arrested Friday on charge of second-degree cruelty to a
juvenile. Daous also was booked with battery of a police officer,
resisting a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and
using offensive words. Daous remains in custody at the Jefferson
Parish Correctional Center in lieu of $52,000 bond. Warren was
released on bond Saturday.
