The LSU Fighting Tigers went into Georgia's house and took two of three games from the nation's top-ranked ball club. It's the eighth straight conference series win for LSU.

Micah Gibbs led the Tigers' attack offensively and he's the Southeastern Conference player of the week. Against the Bulldogs, Gibbs hit for an average of .444 with two home runs, four runs batted in and four runs scored.

The new national polls were released Monday. LSU remains number two according to Baseball America, and number four in the Collegiate Baseball and USA Today rankings.

LSU comes back to the Box to play for one game against Grambling Wednesday night. Then, the Tigers head back on the road for three games at Alabama this weekend.
