Man Found Guilty in Slaying

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A Calcasieu Parish jury has found 28-year-old Jonathan Boyer guilty of second-degree murder in the Feb. 4, 2002, shooting death of 21-year-old Bradlee Marshal of Sulphur.
Jurors convicted Boyer Tuesday night of the related crime of armed robbery with a firearm. Judge Mike Canaday will sentence Boyer on Oct. 14.
Marsh was killed inside his truck after reportedly giving a ride
to Boyer and his brother, Anthony. The victim's body was found slumped over in his truck. He had been shot three times near the right ear.
