Louisiana State Police responded to a four-vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 20 in Richland Parish on Tuesday afternoon.
A preliminary investigation revealed that an 18-wheeler was traveling west on I-20 when it hit the back of another 18-wheeler that was stopped.
This caused the second truck to hit a car, and the car was then pushed into a third 18-wheeler in front of it.
Police have not yet been able to identify the driver of the first 18-wheeler due to fire damage caused by the crash. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene by the Coroner’s Office.
Occupants in the other vehciles reported moderate or no injuries.
