34-year-old man dies in crash on Scotland Avenue
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Police are investigating a crash that killed a Baton Rouge man in the 12100 block of Scotland Avenue.
Vernon Rogers, 34, died after both he and the driver were ejected from an SUV.
Don Coppola, police spokesperson, says the crash happened around 10:45 p.m. on September 3, 2014, when the driver was speeding and lost control of the vehicle.
Rogers was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators do not think alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Coppola says the investigation “remains ongoing.”
