MONROE, LA — The Miss Louisiana Scholarship Organization has kicked off the 50th annual Miss Louisiana pageant in Monroe.
Thirty-six contestants from all over the state are vying for the title of Miss Louisiana and the opportunity to represent the state and compete at Miss America in January.
The Miss Louisiana Organization will award over $1,000,000 in cash and tuition scholarships will be made available.
The Miss Louisiana Organization is part of the Miss America Organization who offers over $45 million dollars in cash and scholarships annually, making them the number one provider of scholarships to young women in the world.
Preliminary competition will be held Wednesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a variety show featuring our former Miss Louisiana’s Friday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. and the live televised finals will feature the top ten contestants on Saturday, June 29 at 8:00 p.m.
