APSO identifies suspect in Prairieville car burglaries

Deputies need your help finding a white man who burglarized several cars in a Prairieville neighborhood.

Major Kevin Hanna, sheriff’s spokesperson, says investigators have identified Steven Vasquez, 33, as the suspect from surveillance video.

Authorities say Vasquez stole from seven unlocked vehicles in the Quail Creek Subdivision between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on August 19, 2014.

Steven Vasquez is wanted on the following charges:

  • 6 counts of simple burglary
  • Simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling
  • 2 counts felony theft
  • 5 counts misdemeanor theft
  • 7 counts trespassing
