AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Australia, the iconic koala has made the threatened species list for parts of the country. The furry tree dwellers are losing their habitats and some are dying from disease.

Italy – Tourists to any of the country's islands will be taxed from here on out. It’s an entry tax and it was just approved by lawmakers. The tax is a small one, about 2-bucks a person.

Japan – Officials aren't taking any chances when it comes to safety at the country's tallest building. To prepare for its public debut, anti-terror drills were held today. They claim to be ready for anything now. The Tokyo Sky Tree will open to the public on May 22nd.

Rwanda – Pedal power is bringing cheap electricity to rural areas. A small generator powered by people's feet charges cell phones batteries and LED lamps. Twenty minutes of peddling can charge one of those special lamps for about 25-hours.

Norway – The first vertical wind tunnel has opened to the public. It's not just for celebrities and sky divers. Everyone can try, as long as you're more than 5-years-old.
