AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Australia, a massive labor dispute grounded Qantas planes from Los Angeles to Australia all weekend. Qantas Airways planes have returned to the skies today after a court ruled on a bitter labor dispute that prompted the world's tenth-largest airline to ground its entire fleet, ending a bad weekend.

Malaysia – A train and a tanker collided, sending 8-people to the hospital. The locomotive hit a fuel truck as it was crossing the tracks to a gas station. The crash is still under investigation.

France – Three activists dressed in saucy maid costumes, protested in front Dominique Strauss Kahns home. The former head of the IMF was accused of sexually assaulting a maid but the case was dropped.

The Netherlands – Something you don't see every day at the zoo. A 45-year-old elephant ended up on the bad end of a shove, taking a pretty bad tumble into a ditch, and breaking a tusk in the fall. His keepers say he got up on his own. And he's going to be ok.

Hungary – The Sausage Festival rolled on through this weekend. Many say it's the biggest eating and drinking event in Eastern and Central Europe.

Russia – Some say the 7-billionth person in the world was born. Among the tens of thousands of births and deaths around the world each day, it is impossible to pinpoint the exact arrival of the globe's 7-billionth occupant but the U.N. chose today to mark the occasion.
