AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – The Bahamas, 2-Americans who say they were en route to Haiti to do charity work wound up floating in the ocean along with their small plane. The single-engine aircraft went down 2-miles west of Andros Island. The U.S. Coast Guard officials say the 2-passengers, both from Alabama, radioed authorities about engine trouble and deployed the plane's parachute to soften the landing before they hit the water. Both passengers are reportedly doing fine after the Coast Guard rescued them.
Russia – Emergency crews are desperately searching drain-pipes for a baby boy. They say he fell into a sink-hole that opened beneath his mom as she strolled him through a small western town. We're told the mom hung onto the stroller but the 18-month-old fell out and rushing water swept him into the pipes.
Israel – A conservative Israeli lawmaker threw a cup of water in the face of a Muslim member of the Labor party during a debate in Parliament. According to some Israeli papers she claims he insulted her. They also report that this is not her first outburst.
Austria – Officials say a powerful snow storm is still blocking some roads shutting down train services, completely cutting off some villages and towns. The storm has dumped more than 3-feet of snow in some spots since last Thursday raising the risk of avalanches. Forecasters say the snowfall should slow down in the next few days.
