AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – Brazil, at least 3-bodies have been recovered in Rio de Janeiro from the wreckage of a 20-story building. It’s believed something was wrong with its structure and as it collapsed it brought down two other buildings. Six people were pulled out alive and close to twenty people are still missing.
Egypt – Dozens of protesters have no plans to leave Tahrir Square. Yesterday marked the 1-year anniversary of the uprising that ousted President Mubarak. And tomorrow these people are calling for a "day of rage", demanding the ruling for the military council hand power over to the people.
Kyrgyzstan – Hundreds of inmates across the country have sewn their lips together.
They refuse to talk claiming they are mistreated and sometimes beaten for no reason. No word yet on how long they plan to do this.
The Netherlands – An elephant is reportedly the first in Europe to be fitted with a contact lens. The big gals' eye was damaged during a fight with another elephant. The contact is supposed to help her heal.
United Kingdom – A cape hand-made from the naturally yellow silk of more than 1-million Madagascar spiders are on display in London. The guy who made it says the capes are virtually weightless and took 4-years to make. He says milking the silk did not hurt the spiders.
