AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – China, the lack of rain has reportedly dried up the only well in a town here. We're told the townspeople found that waterfall about 2-miles away and have been working to cut a canal into that cliffside to channel the water.

Spain – Police say they've arrested two off-duty officers in the hit-and-run death of a German tourist. A police statement indicates a car hit the 64-year-old while she was bicycling. An official says the driver's blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit.

Malaysia – A high court judge set April 18th as ‘verdict day’ for a drug- trafficking case involving 3-Mexican nationals. If the court finds them guilty the three could face death by hanging. Authorities reportedly caught those brothers working in a factory where police found 15-million dollars’ worth of methamphetamine back in 2008.

India – Mini hot air balloons lifted into the sky at the country's first ‘Sky Lantern Festival’. The tradition reportedly began in China when bands of outlaws raided villages. The locals would run away and then wait for watchmen to send up lanterns signaling it was safe to return.
